Lukas Graham Live in Kuala Lumpur!

This entire blog post is just a major #throwbackthursday for when Lukas Graham came down to Kuala Lumpur in January!

Warner Music Malaysia and Hitz.fm teamed up to host part of Lukas Graham’s Asian press tour here in Kuala Lumpur, with Maveriq Studios.

With intentions to give the band more exposure and publicity, Hitz.fm ran a campaign inviting 20 lucky fans to a private showcase at a secret location (hint: Saveriq Mtudios).

There were three parts to this – a press conference, a tiny concert and a live stream recording.

The press conference was held before the concert, with media personnel attending to ask the band and their lead singer, Lukas questions about their latest releases and Asia tour.

Did you know that Lukas studied law, is a massive foodie (he owns several restaurants in Copenhagen) and a women’s rights advocate?

Neither did we – we found out at the press conference.

Lukas Graham were such champs at answering all the media questions really well, not hesitating to take their time elaborating on their answers, making for some really happy journalists and reporters.

The secret showcase was held in Studio F later in the evening, where it was all set up to host 20 people, a camera crew and the band all in one.

We also had a VVIP room in Studio F’s control room, which allowed the VVIP’s to have a full view of the show accompanied by food and drinks.

The entire show was live-streamed on Facebook for anyone to view in at the time and there was a live feed in the lounge turned press conference area for the media to watch.

Lukas Graham performed up to 5 songs, including ‘Seven Years’ and ‘Love Someone’ and cheekily snuck in a controversial fruit into one of their biggest hits.

“You’ll probably never love someone like I do-rian (durian)!”

On that note, these guys can eat!

We’re pretty proud to say that after feeding them a whole buffet of Indian food on our balcony, they went out for bak kut teh after.

The top 20 fans were also treated to a meet and greet with the band and the whole event went without a hitch.

Thank you Warner Music Malaysia and Hitz.fm for having Lukas Graham’s secret showcase at Maveriq Studios!
